Damping Soundproof Board

Short Description:

Damping Soundproof Board is a new type of composite acoustic material, typically composed of three or more layers of materials with different densities and characteristics, laminated with a high-molecular damping material in the middle. It provides two core functions — damping vibration reduction and sound insulation — effectively controlling both structure-borne sound and airborne sound transmission. It is a critical material in modern noise control engineering.

    Product Introduction

Damping Soundproof Board is a new type of composite acoustic material, typically composed of three or more layers of materials with different densities and characteristics, laminated with a high-molecular damping material in the middle. It provides two core functions — damping vibration reduction and sound insulation — effectively controlling both structure-borne sound and airborne sound transmission. Product Specifications

Type Length (mm) Width (mm) Thickness (mm) Structure
    Standard 1220 ~ 2440 1220 6+2+8 Calcium Silicate Board + Butyl Rubber + Calcium Silicate Board
    Standard 1220 ~ 2440 1220 8+2+8 Calcium Silicate Board + Damping Adhesive + Calcium Silicate Board

    Application Scope

    Architectural Acoustics

    • Wall and ceiling soundproofing
    • Home theaters and recording studios
    • Hotel guest rooms and hospital wards
    • Any space requiring high privacy and quiet environments

    Industrial Noise Control

    • Equipment Sound Enclosures: Enclosing fans, generators, stamping equipment and other large vibration sources to suppress noise radiation
    • Pipe Wrapping: Reducing vibration and noise transmission in ventilation ducts and smoke exhaust pipes
    • Impact sound insulation for floor structures (footsteps, furniture dragging)

    Product Advantages

    • Dual Function: Combines vibration damping and sound insulation in one panel
    • Effective Low-Frequency Control: Specifically addresses low-frequency noise and solid-borne sound transmission
    • Impact Sound Insulation: Excellent performance against floor impact noise (footsteps, moving furniture)
    • Multi-Layer Composite Structure: Engineered layers with different densities for broadband sound attenuation
    • Class A Fireproof: Calcium silicate board layers provide excellent fire resistance
    • Easy Installation: Standard panel format compatible with conventional construction methods
    • Wide Application Range: Suitable for both architectural and industrial noise control
    • Environmentally Friendly: Safe materials with no harmful emissions

  • Storage

    1. Store panels flat in a dry, level indoor area. Stack panels according to specifications on wooden pallets, with a maximum stack height of 1.5 meters.
    2. When panels of different sizes are stored together, place smaller panels on top of larger panels.
    3. For temporary outdoor storage, cover completely with waterproof tarpaulin to protect from rain and direct sunlight exposure.

    Handling

    1. Panels must be carried by at least two people, holding the panel flat or vertically. Grip the long edges firmly with arms apart, walk steadily, and handle gently.
    2. Protect the corners and edges from impact. Do not drag panels across surfaces, as this may damage the panel surface.
    3. If temporarily leaning panels against a wall, do not tilt excessively to prevent panels from slipping and causing damage.

    Cutting & Processing

    1. Always use proper protective equipment when cutting. Fiber cement boards are hard and dense — do not use ordinary woodworking saws. Use appropriate cutting equipment and blades, ensuring the panel is supported flat and secured before cutting from the front side.
    2. Use a hole saw for circular openings. For square openings, drill a small hole at each of the four corners with an electric drill first, then cut along the four sides to avoid stress cracking.
    3. For special installation areas such as door and window openings, use multiple square panels to form the required shape rather than cutting the shape directly from a single full board.

    Cleaning & Maintenance

    1. Remove the protective film within 7 days after installation. Use a soft cloth with clean water or a neutral detergent to wipe and clean the surface.
    2. For stubborn stains such as marker pens or ballpoint pen marks, use alcohol or neutral cleaner on a clean cloth for wiping. Never use strong acids, strong alkalis, or corrosive cleaning agents on the panel surface.

    Shipping & Packaging

    1. Products are packaged on pallets, suitable for long-distance transportation.
    2. Small-batch orders can be arranged for LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight shipping.
    3. Large-batch orders can be arranged for dedicated truckload logistics transportation.
